This is great I had it for my 2011 Harley Ultra Limited and now use it for my 2014 Harley Ultra Limited "FLHTK". The bike is 900lbs and I have no problem loading and unloading by myself. I am able to move the motor around the garage in the winter. I use a few tie down straps on crash bars to dolly for added security.

I have a 1300 Royal Star that barely fits. I had to remove the front and rear stop pins for it to fit. I also could not attach the rear ramp for it to work. Assembly isn't hard but more time consuming. Bolts are rather cheap so don't over tighten or they will strip. The instructions say to not "ride" your bike onto it. Unless you have a lighter sport bike or a 500cc, pushing it on would be difficult. Make sure you measure the distance between your wheels to make sure you get a proper fit otherwise you will find yourself disappointed. Even with the ramps down, it will slide on your smooth garage surface. I have to have it against my beer fridge to keep it from moving while loading. Once it is on, it seems to roll round with not a lot of effort. The casters are plastic and I can see myself replacing them at some point. The smallest rock or anything on the floor will cause them to stop so make sure your surface is clear. The kick stand plate is almost too short for my bike. If you have a kick stand that extends pretty far out then its not going to fit right. I will use it for winter storage but not for daily parking. I would use it for daily parking if it didn't slide around.

Comments about Haul-Master 1250 Lb Capacity Low Profile Motorcycle Dolly:

I got this because I have a 15 degree slope to my garage. I have to turn the bike around inside the garage. My Honda Shadow 1100 Aero is almost too long to fit on the dolly. I cannot use the stop pins. And I have to run the wheels all the way to the right of the track in order for the kickstand to fit. It is sometimes a hassle to get it lined up just right. Best if 2 people release the ramps. Flip one down and the other flips up. LOL I learned to put a pry bar under the second one to take the weight off it.

But, it is simple to turn the bike around now. Since it is a daily ride to work, I need the convenience. But, I have to keep the floor super clean in the turning area.

A big thumbs up for this dolly.

Comments about Haul-Master 1250 Lb Capacity Low Profile Motorcycle Dolly:

I park my 1600 Roadstar (750 lbs) in my shed which is about 3' off the ground. When parking the bike, I drive up the ramp and into the shed. When I want to use the bike, I have to back it out down the ramp, through my yard and onto the driveway. The shed is not wide enough for me to turn the bike around myself. I have been doing this for over 13 years. BUT, lately it has been getting more difficult to do so (60 years old) and I figure that it's only a matter of time where I dump the bike going backwards.

I decided to get the bike dolly from HF. I did some research and many have stated that it will not fit the larger cruisers. The dolly is just not long enough and the kickstand plate is not out far enough. Since the dolly is fairly inexpensive and I had a 20% off slip, I decided to try it and make any mods if need be. If it's not long enough I would add a 6" piece of steel plate in the middle of the dolly to extend it. The dolly comes in two halves.

First, many have complained about the lack of instructions. Also that the diagram is not large enough or detailed enough. The instructions are fine. The diagram is also fine. The dolly is simple to put together and took only an hour and a half. It is of very good quality. The caster wheels could be better and I may upgrade them to even smoother wheels but so far, no problem. I have a plywood floor and the bike moves easily.

The Roadstar is one of the bigger cruisers out there and guys have said that it will not fit the dolly. IT WILL FIT THE DOLLY IF YOU DO NOT USE THE STOP PINS. But you really don't need them. I do agree with others that the mfg should have made this about 12" longer and probably EVERY bike made could fit using the stop pins.

Another thing is that many say that you cannot push your bike onto the dolly, you have to drive it on. Yes you can walk it on. Make sure BOTH ramps are in the down position as this is what keeps the dolly stationary. I then can sit on the seat and walk the bike onto the dolly easily. My bike weighs in at 750lbs.
As soon as I feel the back wheel lift onto the dolly I stop. The kickstand plate is not long enough BUT it will rest on the end of the tray. I then pull the ramps up and that provides "locking" the wheels in where the bike cannot move forward or backwards. The ramps in the up position is what also provides the dolly to now move with the casters. I have a plywood floor and the dolly moves easily. Since the kickstand is not in the tray as it should, you have to be careful when pushing the dolly. But it does work.

All parts fit perfectly. The only problem I have (and I knew this going in) is that to lock most bikes, you turn bars all the way to the left or right and lock with ignition key. My bike also has a fork lock. But with this dolly you CANNOT lock the bike. I will have to devise another way to lock it down.

I can now move my bike in any direction so that I can drive it our forward. This dolly is definitely worth getting. Especially with the slip it was only $65.

A few details to help you decide.

Comments about Haul-Master 1250 Lb Capacity Low Profile Motorcycle Dolly:

I bought this for my '82 Honda Magna and it works perfectly. I don't have a garage so I needed this for the house and thought I'd pass on a few more details.

The casters have dual plastic wheels which are ok BUT each wheel has a casting ridge going down the middle that you need to sand or file down or each caster will leave dual tracks on the floor. Once flush, they seem to be non-marring. If you need to replace them, they have a 1 3/4" by 1 3/4" bolt pattern and are 3" from floor to top of flange.

The removable wheel stop pins are 76 1/2" O/C and the tops are 2" high from the base so if you want to see if your bike will fit: chock each wheel with a 2x4 and measure in between them. If it's less than 76" you should be good.

The kickstand pad is 7 1/2" x 13 3/4" with the rear wall shorter than the front to give clearance for the kickstand while lowering. There are 4 mounting positions giving you a 2 foot range which should accommodate any bikes stand.

The ramps are designed so that when you move the lever, it lowers the ramp while also lifting the dolly off the floor. The ramps have a shot peen texture that should give decent grip on bare cement but will mar/scratch any painted or wood surfaces. This is aggravated if you use both ramps because when you lower the second ramp it rotates and "pulls" the 1st ramp across the floor. I found that I can use a single ramp and a piece of rubber (non-slip toolbox shelving material works well).

A very well designed product, not flimsy in the least and should last many years. I'm very happy with it.

I don't have a lot of room in my garage for my bike(2010 Fatboy Low). Was looking for a space saver and a easy way to get my bike in and out of the front of my garage, saw this read the reviews and thought I would give it a try. This was easy to put together, Bike rolled right on and fit pretty good. I Have A 2010 Fatboy Low, would have liked it to be a little longer but it works. Need to add some rubber pads or something to keep it from sliding when getting bike on/off, not a real big deal. Great price, get one!

I got this for my birthday on the 24th. for my Harley Fatboy. Had it together in about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Instructions were clear and not difficult at all. Even a caveman can do it. The casters are a little cheap and the overall length is a couple of inches short but still does what it's suppose to very well. And with the money I saved by not purchasing it from the competitors I put another piece of chrome on my bike. Will have to purchase one for my Road King.

I bought this for my 2005 Road King Classic and from previous reviews expected to make some modifications. Evidently HF does read these reviews and my unit went together with no drilling or any modification at all. The wheels move the unit smoothly and in my opinion if you only ride your bike in the garage they probably will wear out. If you use it as intended it should last a lifetime. The side extension for the kickstand works as it should without any drilling once you figure out which holes it should mount in. The only suggestion I have to improve it would be to make the overall length a few inches longer. Considering getting another for my wife's "03 Hugger. Overall I am quite pleased with this dolly. 5 stars!!!!!!!

I had my doubts, but after assembling and using this dolly for the first time, well I'm really pleased the value/ price is great and quality is really good.

I thought that the tray would bend in the middle where the seam is, but the supplied tubing that joins the two trays together is strong enough that it doesn't sag. My bike weighs in at 370 pounds, not the heaviest, but not that light either.

There are a couple of things I wished they would do to improve this dolly. No gripes, just some things I wish the could do.
                                  1. Sell an extra kick stand tray with casters so that you could add a front wheel chock and which would allow me to store and work on my bike straight upright.
                                  2. Add a removeable oil pan that fits into the tray.
                                  3. Add some texture into the paint to the tray center to add some wheel grip.

I bought this to help me turn my bike around in the limited space that I have. It also helps me to store my bike flat against the wall. Great space saver and it sure makes it a bunch easier to turn my cycle around. Absolutely love it.
